How do I create an iif file from a csv file?

I would like to create an iif file to import a csv file to a JE?  How is this done?  How do you convert a csv file to an iif format?  I have 300 lines of data to enter each month to post job costs that I now update a memorized JE.  Any suggestions?  I was able to download an iif kit, but cannot get the iif template for JE's to launch?

    • Hi - Have you actually used this product - I am tempted to purchase this - but would like some feedback on how easy it is to use.  Does it come with a wizard to walk you through the steps?

    • Yep i'm a user of this product...you just need to put your transactions into "uploading format" from MS Excel and then create IIF files and then import them into QB. Done.
      Guide and sample uploading formats came along with the software.
      Its really easy to use.
      The only thing about this software that i dont like is "IT DOES NOT LINK TRANSACTIONS" like you cannot apply payments to invoice by using this software. Besides that its good.
    • It is not the import software that doesn't link the transactions. Importing never links payments to invoices. First they are imported. Then you need to process them to link them to invoices, from within QB. That is true no matter what import tool is used.

    Do you know that the Job Reports rely on the use of Items? You cannot do this using a JE and expect to see this detail on reports.
