I am helping a sister of a client where they had the same transactions for rental properties and 1031 exchange. Efile still seeing it as the original sister

Sisters owned a rental together 50/50; then 1031 exchanged into multiple properties again as 50/50. I completed the sisters returns back in April. Now the other sister contacts me. I was hoping just to copy the original sisters return and update all client information, different W2; different state, etc. Sa all the work done with the 1031 exchange and new rentals were perfect. No luck. The efile information within Lacerte stiil look like its the original sister. Must be away to copy the data to save them money and my time. Anyone?

Highlight the copy of the return with the NEW sister. E-File > E-File Support tools > Clear return > Return

I believe that will allow the new return to be e-file with the new name and new SSN. Be especially careful with items such as W-2, etc that tie to screen 1. Probably best to delete those entirely, exit the client, then enter the client and input those from scratch.
