Unexpected Behavior in Asset Entry Worksheet. Error message.

ProSeries 2018, Schedule F, Asset Entry Worksheet, ERROR ALERT

This is a new error since last ProSeries update this week [8/12/19]:  "Land included in cost should not be the entire value of the asset. If this asset is entirely comprised of land and you want to keep this Asset Entry Worksheet for tracking purposes change the Asset Type to Code X"

When I change the Type of asset to Code X a new error message pops up:  "Date placed in service should not have a value. This field is not supported for type x (non-depreciated assets)."

  4. Be a good listener. When people post very general questions, take a second to try to understand what they're really looking for. Then, provide a response that guides them to the best possible outcome.
  5. Be encouraging and positive. Look for ways to eliminate uncertainty by anticipating people's concerns. Make it apparent that we really like helping them achieve positive outcomes.
