What brand scanner and model do most customers use that is TWAIN compliant and works with DMS?

You are really just asking other users. https://accountants-community.intuit.com/articles/1859363-dms-system-and-scanner-recommendations-lac... gives a listing. Also from PS https://accountants-community.intuit.com/articles/1862105-dms-system-and-scanner-requirements Fujitsu used to be the standard, but cost and changes in technology now allows many scanners to work. I would definitely want duplexing and maybe color.

I love my Fujitsu Scan Snap (it was pricey, but worth it!), but I don't know what TWAIN is and I don't use DMS, so I cant comment on whether it will work for what you need it to do.

I"m surprised that you don't know what TWAIN is.  Didn't you ever read Huckleberry Hound or Tom Sawyer when you were growing up?  Or was it Finn?  No, I think Finn was the cartoon and Hound was the book.  Although now that I think of it, I thought he wrote that stuff at least 20 or 30 years ago so you would think that the technology he developed would be obsolete by now.
