12029 Last 2 days when trying to get return acknowledgements I get this: Connection Error: 12029 But I can get REP's. I also get an error of: Update Server offline

I am able to receive REP's but when trying to get acknowledgement of returns I get Connection Error: 12029 for the last 2 days! Also when I try to update the Lacerte program I get the error of: Update Server offline

This has been going on for the last 2 days!?

I have the same issue..Do you know ultimately what happened and how to fix?

@George4Tacks Yes, it will not install that way because it says it cannot communicate with Lacerte (for the download I assume)

@ZACHOCALL Do you have an anti virus? What are your firewall settings? Unfortunately I believe you need to call support. Please post your solution here, if you can.

@George4Tacks I did call support, the problem is that Lacerte has recently changed the ports and IP addresses it uses to communicate to a much wider range of addresses. Lacerte has failed to updated it's Configuration settings within Knowledge Base article : https://accountants-community.intuit.com/articles/1861054-firewall-and-anti-virus-software-configura...

Sad to lose a full work day to this but I am glad we have resolved it. We had to check the firewall logs to see what new addresses were being used and add them to our safe list withing the firewall.
