Office expense for rental properties business on schedule e

1.) My client has several rental properties.  It is the only thing she does for living.

2.) Proseris don't seem to have home office expense link to schedule e.

3.) Can i do home office expense worksheet, then put home office expense on sch e number 19 line A and states office expense (refer to home office WKS).

If there are other better way then let me know.  Only for schedule E, not schedule C.

Thank you

Yep, that works.  But there is no need to include the worksheet with the tax return.

You are correct, ProSeries does not have a way to link a worksheet to Schedule E.  As somebody else suggested earlier, you may want to create a 'mock' Schedule C to fill out the 8829 to get the numbers, then print it out and use the final number from that to put on your Schedule E.

I pretty much added 8829and did it manual and use simplified method.  I also put note on line 19 of sch e and stated home office expense (Refer to 8829)
