Law Enforcement Unreimbursed Employee Expenses
Does anyone know if there is an exception for Police officers' unreimbursed employee expenses such as travel to/from courthouse, etc.? Can they file Form 2106? I realize this tax break has been eliminated for most employees, but before I tell my police officer client he can't deduct his unreimbursed expenses, I'd like to be sure. I'm getting mixed info on the Form 2106 exception: fee-basis state or local government
officials...wondering if a police officer falls into this category?
