1120S - Preparer phone number not flowing

The preparer phone number is in the included in the preparer/firm info screen.

Box is checked on 1120S to make preparer third party designee. Problem is the phone number doesn't auto-populate.

I have used override to enter the phone number. The return keeps getting rejected for e-file with the override where I have included the phone number.

Likewise, the e-file is rejected when I leave the phone number blank.

I don't know if there is a solution other that Intuit fixing the bug... But how can we even bring their attention to the problem?

If you enter the phone number under the specific preparer, this should correct the issue. Looks like it's probably only entered under the general firm info screen

The phone number was already under the specific preparer when the problem started. It doesn't flow.

Any update on a fix? Filing deadline is coming up an I like to be 3rd party designee so I don't have to chase down a POA to resolve basic issues.

I also received the same error. I had the phone number under the specific preparer. However, I did not have the box checked to "print phone number on return". Once I checked that box, the error went away.

We haven't seen this as a wide spread issue, as @denise had said, check under Tools > Options > Firm/Preparer Information and ensure "Print Phone Number on return?" is set to yes. I attached a screen shot.

If have the phone number under the Firm  AND the Preparer..  Still does not work or populate on form 1120.  I removed the phone number , re-entered, and still it will not work.    Very frustrating!

I figured out the problem.  When the phone number wouldn't transfer, I right-clicked on the field and overrode it by inputting my phone number.  When that still didn't fix the problem, I went back in and wiped out my phone number from that field.  But what I should have done was right-click on the cell again and Delete the Override.  Once I did that, the phone number transferred.  

Hope this keeps someone from tearing their hair out.

If uncheck paid preparer is third party designee, the phone number will not be required.

I am having the same issue! I need to change my preparer phone number. I have updated information in my User Profile but the wrong phone number continues to print on every return I prepare!!
