Why are forms 1040 & 540 not available on Lacerte 2018 yet?

The forms you mention have been out for a while. If you see a little red x in the lower right of the Lacerte screen, that means you need to update. If that is not working for you, use the FORCE version of install to clean up your Lacerte install

Thank you for your kind answer. I did figure this out yesterday. "info" was the email address of my company.

You can edit your user name to something that is less generic. Unfortunately info is something that Intuit seems to assign to wandering minstrels and users of TurboTax.
Click your info in the upper right of this screen and select "Profile Settings"
It does not need to give any personal info and like many of us, pick something cute or informative.
Have a great tax season and post here for more help with Lacerte. lt can be tough to learn, but it is a wonderful (or at least an awfully good) tax software. I am approach 40 years with it.

My recall from the Lounge is that a PAB said info is the catch all for someone that posts without give any information about themselves. The Context (on the right in some browsers) indicates that this is probably a real Lacerte user that does not know how to update.

Ummmm - a lot of forms are available, and e-file-able.

Which ones are you having trouble with?

Generally, there's a yellow banner across the top of the forms that aren't yet ready for primetime.

I keep on seeing the name "info" show up in this community. That name seems to be an oxymoron since info doesn't provide enough info to help themselves.
