I don't think you are going to be able to do anything to the system to change that so I would either go into options to not print the date, or try to override the date to put in the slashes or just leave it alone.  Most clients will never see it anyway since they stop looking at the return once the see the refund or balance due amount.

does IL require dashes or slashes in the date?  just a plain old space in between the numbers isn't acceptable?

It looks stupid without slash or dash.

maybe it's computer scanned easier with no slashes.  could be State requirement.  My motto is "When in doubt, Intuit probably has a reason."

Rob, is this on a new client or any previously prepared client? I print previewed my own return and there were slashes in the date next to my preparer signature.

I dont believe Illinois has a requirement for slashes/dashes but with that said.....I wouldn't like it looking that way.

I did a 706 earlier and my PTIN did not print on hard copy.  Yes on Print Preview; Yes on PDF.  My print system was blamed but I do not believe that - everything else looked fine

Ive never once printed a "client copy", I only print the filing copy since that's what IRS sees, that's what I want myself and the client to see......there could be all sorts of weird junk in the client copy, I'd never even know!

I do print the client copy but keep the guts for myself. I've had to fine tune it over the years as you are correct, there is sooooo much junk that will print out but you can control what you want to print.
