2017 Lacerte will only support 64-bit os. What is everyone doing to support that and prior versions using 32-bit os. Currently use w7. 64-bit would be W10.
This is what Lacerte support says:
Implementing Important Updates to System Requirements
Lacerte will be updating the 2017 system requirements to require 64-bit operating system versions of Windows 7, 8.1 and 10. After the October 2017 filing deadline, you will need a 64-bit operating system and processor in order to install the Lacerte Tax Year 2016 Proforma/Organizer and Lacerte Tax Year 2017 programs.
We currently have versions on our workstations going back to 2000, 32-bit Windows 7 works on all of them. Lacerte 2017 will be only supporting 64-bit. Going to 64-bit would mean we might as well upgrade to Windows 10, however the other issue is, QuickBooks 2017 is the only year that supports Windows 10, so what do we do, keep to workstations for each employee?
