How do I print Organizers in Lacerte?


Solution:
Note: The current year Organizer needs to be accessed from the prior year program. See Accessing the Organizer or E-Organizer for more information.
 
To print Organizers in Lacerte: 
  1. Click on the Clients tab (to view the list of your clients).
  2. Click on Tools.
  3. Click on Organizer.
  4. Click on Print Paper Organizer from the left navigation panel. If you get the Intuit Link Welcome screen, click Don't Show this again or Tell me later to continue printing organizers.
  5. Select the type of Organizer you want to print:
    • Complete Organizers
    • Condensed Organizers
    • Partial Organizers
    • Blank Organizers


       
  6. Highlight the clients under the Available Clients section. (To highlight multiple clients, hold down the Ctrl key and select the applicable clients.)


     
  7. Click on Add. (This will move the highlighted clients from the Available Clients section to the Selected Clients section.)
  8. Click on Print.

    *Note: If this is your first time printing organizers for this year, you will be asked to if you want to set your Organizer Options. Click yes to set your Organizer Options.
     
    1. Select the Organizer Pages you want to include with the organizer. (Note: This window will change depending on the Organizer Type selected in Step 5.)


       
      • Suppress omits the page from the Organizer even if the clients prior year tax return requires information from this page.
      • Force prints the page even if the clients prior year tax return did not require information from this page.
      • When Applicable prints the page only if the clients prior year tax return requires information from this page.
         
    2. Select the applicable Document Options.
    3. Click OK.
       
  9. Select the desired Document Options and Organizer Print Options.


     
  10. Click OK.
  11. Select the applicable Printer from the Print Settings window.
  12. Click OK.
 
Note: To Print an Organizer to PDF see Creating a PDF for an Organizer. To create and send a PDF via e-mail see Creating and E-mailing a Password Protected PDF for an Organizer.
 
Note: You cannot change the order in which the items print in the Organizer.
 

 
If the Organizer does not print it could be suppressed. To check if the organizer is suppressed:
  1. Select the client on the client list and click the Detail tab.
  2. Go to the Miscellaneous screen.
    • Screen 2.1 (Fiduciary)
    • Screen 3 (Individual)
  3. Scroll down to the Organizer Miscellaneous section.
  4. Uncheck the box, Suppress next year's client organizer
